General Business Minor Program Information

The General Business Minor is designed for the non-business student who may be interested in pursuing the Master of Business Administration degree.

General Business Minor Requirements: 21 credits

ACCT 2010 - Principles of Accounting I (3 credits) ¹
ACCT 2020 - Principles of Accounting II (3 credits) ¹
ECON 2220 - Principles of Microeconomics (3 credits) ²
FNCE 3220 - Business Finance (3 credits)
MGMT 3000 - Organizational Behavior and Management (3 credits)
MGMT 3310 - Legal Environment of Business (3 credits)
MKTG 3200 - Principles of Marketing (3 credits)

Note:

¹ Completion of the students’ college-level math requirement is a prerequisite for Principles of Accounting I and Principles of Accounting II.

² Students should complete ECON 2210 as part of the General Education requirements.

Minor Requirement

A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.
