American Sign Language Minor Program Information
Department of Literature & Language PO Box 70683 Phone: (423) 439-4339 Fax: (423) 439-7193 Web Address: www.etsu.edu/cas/litlang/ The minor in American Sign Language (ASL) is appropriate for students wishing training in ASL for future communication with individuals in the Deaf community. The minor consists of a minimum of 18 credits of study. Students are encouraged to consult with a departmental advisor and review course descriptions prior to selecting and registering for class. Based on placement test or equivalent. American Sign Language Minor Requirements: 18 credits
Required Courses: 6 credits
Advisor Approved Electives: 12 credits
Minor Information
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 15 credits of which at least 6 credits must be at the 3000-level or above. |
