The Department of Biomedical Health Sciences is a multidisciplinary department offering a variety of courses concerning those sciences relevant to or implicating the human body. The department offers the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Sciences. Two concentrations are available, Microbiology and Human Health. In addition, minors in Health Sciences and Microbiology are offered.These courses of study are designed for students who plan to pursue such professions as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and microbiology. The department also has Honors-in-Discipline programs in both Microbiology and Human Health concentrations. Courses are also offered for students in other disciplines who desire to acquaint themselves with a scientific attitude and the phenomena of living organisms.
