The Old-Time Music minor is a 21 credit program consisting of a 9 credit core, 6 credits of required electives, and 6 credits of guided electives chosen in consultation with the program advisor. The program is designed for those who wish to work toward a full-time or part-time career in music, for those with other career or academic ambitions in this field, and for those who seek to enrich their lives or academic studies through Old-Time music. A student wishing to pursue a minor in Old-Time Music needs to declare his or her intention at the earliest opportunity in order to facilitate planning.
