The ETSU Advertising/Public Relations minor in Mass Communication provides students a dynamic education in strategic communication by converging public relations and advertising into a cutting-edge program that delivers hands-on experiences, professional networking, internships, and national competitions ultimately leading to global career opportunities. This minor complements many majors including those studying business, healthcare, art and design, sports management, international relations, and digital media as well as disciplines in the liberal arts and social sciences. Coursework includes instruction in writing and design for print, broadcast, online and social media; audience research; media planning; and campaign management. Through experiences with real-world clients, students gain the skills and knowledge they need for success in this growing profession. Advertising Minor: 18 Credit Hours

A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 semester credit hours of which at least 9 hours must be at the 3000-level or above. |
