The Communicative Disorders Minor introduces you to and prepares you for a graduate degree in Clinical Audiology (Doctor of Audiology) and Speech-Language Pathology (Master of Science in SLP). Students in the minor program study the normal aspects of the communication process and are introduced to disorders of speech, language and hearing. The courses will cover concepts related to anatomy and physiology of the hearing and speech mechanisms; speech and hearing science; and normal development of speech and language production and perception.
