In 2026 ETSU was recognized as a national leader in community engagement. ETSU’s commitment to hands-on, community-engaged learning earned the university the Carnegie Foundation’s Community Engagement Classification a designation earned by fewer than 300 institutions out of more than 4,000 colleges and universities nationwide.
