NRSE 5590 - Strategic Planning for Health Care Organizations(3 credits) Prerequisites: Permission of the major advisor. This course applies the concepts of strategic planning within the context of the health care industry. Issues associated with competing in a changing health care environment are explored with a focus on the development of solutions to problems associated with this change. The strategic management of health care delivery will be addressed from a variety of perspectives, ranging from those of the insurance industry, to public health facilities, to large health care networks, to small practices of health care providers. (spring) Notes: Enrollment is restricted to the College of Nursing students.
