PHAR 6340 - Cardiovascular Pharmacology(4 credits) Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor. A study of the mechanisms of the action of drugs in modifying physiological and pathological function of the heart and vascular systems. Topics will include drugs used in modifying physiological and pathological function of the heart and vascular systems and drugs used in treating cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, and atherosclerotic disease. Offered alternate years. Four hour discussion sessions per week. (fall)
