(3 credits) This course will provide students with an approach to theories, concepts, and skills required to develop a methodology for social work practice with the elderly and their families. The continuum of support services and community resources will be explored. Students will explore interdisciplinary collaborations and ethical dilemmas, as well as critical thinking about an array of political, social, institutional, and personal issues affecting social work practice with the gerontological population.
