HIST 4267 - Constitutional History: Congress, the Law and Slavery

(3 credits)
Prerequisites: HIST 3410  or equivalent. Upper division seminar that examines debates over slavery with analysis of historical debates over the Constitution and its effects on congressional statutes, national security, race relations, legal battles, and violence from the drafting of the Constitution in 1787 through the end of Reconstruction in 1877.
