(4 credits)Prerequisites:CDIS 4017. A study of the physiologic acoustics of the auditory periphery, neurophysiology of the speech and hearing systems, and an introduction to research tools in speech and hearing science. The laboratory portion of the course provides interactive demonstrations pertaining to the physiologic acoustics of the auditory periphery, neurophysiology of the speech and hearing systems, and an introduction to instrumentation used in speech and hearing science.
