Focuses on the nurse’s role in safe and effective drug therapy through knowledge of major drug classifications and prototype drugs. Emphasizes pharmacotherapeutics, contraindications, adverse effects, and drug interactions. Examines legal/ethical considerations within the scope of nursing practice. (fall, spring, summer)
