SOWK 4900 - Directed Independent Study

(1-3 variable credit)

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor and formal admission to the major. Directed independent study on a topic that is related to social work practice and is of special interest to the student. Enables students to utilize research knowledge and skills in pursuing in depth a special area of interest. Students are provided guidance and direction by a faculty member who has expertise in the area of study.
