PHYS 2018 - Honors Great Ideas in Science I(3 credit hours) Prerequisites: ENGL 1228 A seminar course for sophomores in the University Honors Scholars program. Each year, a specific topic relating the interplay between science and society is selected by the instructor and modules are set up relating various scientific disciplines to this topic. Emphasis is made in the interrelationships among the sciences and between science and culture. In this first semester of the two-semester sequence of courses, the scientific method and the physical sciences are explored.
