HSMP 6340 - Leadership, Management, & Governance in Public Health(3 credits) Prerequisites: Permission from the Course Instructor for students not enrolled in the Doctor of Public Health Program. Provides advanced skills related to important aspects of public health leadership, management and governance. Emphasis is placed on the role of public health leaders in assessing community needs and planning population health improvements, leading organizational change, strategic planning and resource alignment, evaluation of plans and interventions, and the role of evidence-based decision making in public health practice.
