PMSC 3223 - Foundational Principles: Pharmacology & Autonomics(2 credits) Prerequisites/Corequisites: PMSC 3114 and PMSC 3116 .
Provides understanding of the underlying basis of drug actions on living systems. Introduces fundamental concepts of drug-receptor interactions, receptor agonism and antagonism, synergy, dose-response relationships, mechanisms of action, absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination. Introduces fundamentals of toxicology.
