Provides visits to many field sites in Ecuador where plants at diverse climatic, elevational and vegetational settings are examined. It includes identifying plants, observing and dissecting material, and becoming familiar with economically important tropical and temperate plants and plant communities. The course is conducted with a group of Ecuadorian botanists and students from our Ecuadorian sister university, Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
