NRSE 4551 - Adult Care 2 Practicum

(3 credits)

Prerequisites: Completion of second semester junior courses.

Corequisites: NRSE 4550.

Builds on previous nursing knowledge to promote understanding of how healthcare services are provided to older adults. Emphasis is placed on modifying practice to meet the needs of the older adult and includes client advocacy, health coaching, health promotion and teaching. It includes how to plan, implement, and evaluate care for the older adult with complex co-morbidities and consider the transition of care between settings.
