ACCT 4320 - Data Analytics for Accounting

(3 credits)

Prerequisites: ACCT 3320 with a minimum grade of “C”.

Develops skills and knowledge related to data creation, data sharing, data analytics, data mining, data reporting and storage of accounting information within and across organizations using a case-based strategy. Class experience includes integration of real-world strategies, privacy and security concerns, ethical issues, technology-driven changes in practice, and the complexities of decision making. Technology is used to gather, transform, and analyze data into meaningful accounting information for decision making.
