ARTA 3626 - Digital Material Studies(3 credits) Explores various digital techniques utilized in contemporary art-making. Focuses on software-driven material studies which may include laser printing, kinetic art with microcontrollers, laser cutting (paper and other materials), large format printing in fabric, digital embroidery, and more to create art utilizing digital raster and/or vector-based programs to reframe and recontextualize traditional materials and methods.
