(4 credits)Examines orthotic biomechanical motion control systems and methods of treatment of the lower limb (ankle foot complex, knee, hip), head/spine/pelvis, and upper limb (fingers/hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder joint complex). The course also includes a survey of common and emerging orthosis designs and systems as well as explores design principles and fitting techniques using prefabricated designs.This is the first of two courses in a series.
