Provides career-related work experience where student will be assigned to a selected regional hospital for eight hours per week after the fourth week of classes, and then for 40 hr/week for three weeks after the semester ends. The student works under the supervision of a senior Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) or clinical engineer. Assignments include PM, calibration, troubleshooting and repair, and management of equipment taught in ENTC 4350. A pre-employment physical examination and possession of liability insurance before being assigned to internship is required.
