NRSE 3010 - Pharmacology for Nursing(3 credits) Prerequisites: Completion of second semester sophomore courses or admission to dual degree program or RN to BSN program.
Focuses on the nurse’s role in safe and effective drug therapy through knowledge of major drug classifications and prototype drugs. This course emphasizes pharmacotherapeutics, contraindications, adverse effects, and drug interactions and examines legal/ethical considerations within the scope of nursing practice.
