RHSC 3300 - Medical Classification in Rehabilitative Sciences

(3 credits)

Introduces the core terminology related to rehabilitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and audiology. Emphasis placed on billing and coding, and documentation charting requirements in rehabilitation, including SOAP notes (Subjective-Objective-Assessment-Plan) and use of focus charting across practice settings. The course may also provides advanced knowledge in describing and explaining the rehabilitation process and context through onsite observations.
