BIOL 4667 - Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics(3 credits) Prerequisites: BIOL 3100
Investigates scientific hypotheses that define current approaches to biology at the molecular level. It is based on concepts that range from the use of DNA as a storage molecule of information, to the control of and the expression of this information by both genetic and epigenetic processes (e.g. transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics), and to the emergent properties resulting from the control networks of this information. Includes in silico lab activities.
Dual Listed With: BIOL 5667.
