SURV 4567 - Positioning with GNSS(3 credits) Prerequisites: SURV 3560 or permission of instructor.
Presents principles and history of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) and GPS (Global Positioning System); structures of GNSS signals; sources of GNSS errors; mission planning; online positioning user service (OPUS); various methods of GNSS data collection (static and Real-Time Kinematic); use of continuously operating reference systems (CORS) and receiver independent exchange format (RINEX); differential GNSS (DGPS); post-processing and network adjustment; integration of GNSS into GIS; and other GNSS systems.
When Offered: 3 semester rotation.
