METC 2219 - Electrical Engineering Principles 2

(3 credits)
Prerequisites: METC 1140 METC 2216 PHYS 2110 , and MATH 1920

Develops mathematical, laboratory and simulation methods for circuit analysis. This course models  circuits from first principles, including RLC, Diode, Transistor and Op-amp models as well as extensively covers analytical techniques such as loop, nodal, mesh, frequency, and Fourier analysis with a focus on application.  Complex impedance and phasor analysis are introduced and applied to AC circuits. The role of response and transfer functions in describing circuit properties is covered. This course integrates extensive use of computer models via computer simulation tools.
