Explores the use of materials in the design of engineering systems such as actuators, robotics systems, instrumentation mounting systems , and other applications to mechatronics systems. Topics may include ferrous, non-ferrous metals, ceramics, and plastics characteristics as applied to engineering applications. The course will be comprised of both lectures and labs.
