The mission of the Department of Economics and Finance is to provide students with the educational experience necessary to succeed in a competitive global environment. We offer both business and non-business degree programs.

The department offers a non-business Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics . Students who aspire to an international career will particularly benefit from our concentration in International Commerce . This program combines traditional economics coursework with courses in business, geo-politics, and foreign language to prepare students for a host of career possibilities in government and multinational corporations. As a complement, the department has also established close ties with cooperating universities in Europe and encourages students to participate in the university’s foreign study exchange programs.
