The Sport Management minor has been designed to enable students to develop basic competencies in sport management. This minor, in combination with an appropriate major, will allow students to seek employment in the sport industry as entry-level employees or pursue other educational advancement at the graduate level.

Sport Management Minor Requirements: 18 credits

A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.

• SALM 3200 - Introduction to Sport Management (3 credits)
• SALM 3220 - Facility Planning and Event Management (3 credits)
• SALM 3225 - Marketing Strategies and Public Relations in SALM (3 credits)
• SALM 4205 - Issues and Trends in Sport Management (3 credits)
• SALM 4225 - Management of Sport and Leisure Activities (3 credits)
• SALM 4230 - Fund-Raising in Sports (3 credits)
