Technical Writing Minor

Technical Writing Minor: 18 credits
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above. Technical Writing Minor Required: 12 credits
Choose four (4) courses from the following: Media Course: 3 credits
Choose one (1) course from the following: Design and Layout Course: 3 credits
Choose one (1) course from the following: Other Departmental Electives
The department’s Technical Writing Program Director may approve courses from other departments in the university as electives for this minor. The following are examples of courses that may be included as electives: Additional Information
Note: No more than 1 (one) English course required for a student’s English major may also be applied for the minor. Directions and Restrictions: Other courses may be approved by the department’s Technical Writing Program Director. The Department of Literature and Language may allow students to enroll in approved three credit courses offered by other departments, if those courses are directly related to technical writing, to substitute for up to three of the 3000-level courses required for the minor. Possible Additional Course Offerings: Additional special topics courses may be offered as electives for this minor. |
