Students develop the skills necessary to pursue health-related management opportunities in for-profit, nonprofit, and governmental sectors, including with hospital systems, medical group practices, clinics, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, public health agencies, and other health-related organizations. The curriculum covers the foundational concepts of health administration along with an understanding of the key roles of healthcare administrators. Students gain strong leadership abilities, communication and management skills, competence in managing change and working in teams, and proficiency in healthcare strategy and operations. Health Administration Minor: 21 credits
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 semester credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above. Required Courses: 15 credits
