The Trauma and Resilience minor offers students a theoretical and practical understanding of trauma and its treatment. Students will study the impact of trauma on an individual, their family system, as well as the societal impact. The Trauma and Resilience minor seeks to prepare students for entry level careers or graduate studies in work with traumatized populations.

Trauma and Resilience Minor Requirements: 18 credits

Required Courses: 15 credits

• HDAL 2140 - Interpersonal Trauma Informed Skills for the Professional (3 credits)
• HDAL 3520 - Crisis and Coping (3 credits)
• HDAL 4017 - Homelessness, Hunger, Poverty, and Politics (3 credits)
• HDAL 4167 - Trauma Theory (3 credits)
• HDAL 4227 - Evidence Based Trauma Techniques (3 credits)

Advisor Approved Electives: 3 credits
