The Changemaking minor equips students with the mindset, knowledge, and skills to effect positive social change in their communities. Grounded in theories and methodologies of social innovation and social entrepreneurship, the minor affords students opportunities to study, develop, and implement regional social change projects in collaboration with partners in education, government, industry, and nonprofit sectors.

The Changemaking minor is offered for students admitted to the Changemaker Scholars program.

Changemaking Minor: 18 credits

Required Courses: 15 credits

• CHNG 1008 - Place as Text: From Exploration to Impact (3 credits)
• CHNG 1908 - Introduction to Changemaking and Social Innovation (3 credits)
• SRVL 1020 - Introduction to Service-Learning in the Community (3 credits)
• TECW 4200 - Introduction to Grant and Proposal Writing (3 credits)
• CHNG 4908 - Changemaker Scholars Capstone (3 credits)

Advisor Approved Electives: 3 credits

Choose one of the following for 3 credits:

• CHNG 4908 - Changemaker Scholars Capstone (3 credits)
• UHON 3908 - Honors Internship (1-4 credits)
• UHON 4808 - Honors Study Abroad (1-6 credits)
