STEM K-12 Education, Graduate Certificate

The certificate aligns closely with the Masters in Education in Curriculum & Instruction. A student who wishes to pursue an ETSU master’s degree in education concurrently with the certificate must also apply and be admitted to the degree program. All credits must meet GPA requirements and must be within the matriculation limit.

Admission Requirements


In addition to the requirements of the School of Graduate Studies:

  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Submission of a 2-page essay outlining past experience with STEM education and goals beyond achieving the certificate in STEM PreK-12 Education.

Articulation Agreement


Students who have completed the STEM K-12 Education Graduate Certificate and subsequently are admitted to the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction may apply up to nine (9) credits from the STEM K-12 Education Certificate Program.
