The Trauma and Resilience minor offers students a theoretical and practical understanding of trauma and its treatment. Students will study the impact of trauma on an individual, their family system, as well as the societal impact. The Trauma and Resilience minor seeks to prepare students for entry level careers or graduate studies in work with traumatized populations.
Double Counting Course Restriction
Students who major in Human Services and minor in Trauma and Resilience can double-count only ONE COURSE (3 credits) from the following: HDAL 2000; HDAL 3610; HDAL 4127; HDAL 4417; or HDAL 4137.
Trauma and Resilience Minor Requirements: 18 credits
Required Courses: 15 credits
Advisor Approved Electives: 3 credits
Choose in consultation with advisor.
Minor Requirement
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.
