The forensic science minor requires 18 credits of interdisciplinary coursework. The program allows students to choose what path in forensic science they wish to pursue: behavioral science or natural science. Students minoring in forensic science are allowed to take any of the listed elective courses. However, it is recommended that students majoring in a natural science (biology, chemistry, etc.) would select elective courses in the same discipline since some of the upper-division courses would have pre-requisites that would need to be satisfied prior to the upper-division elective.
Forensic Minor Requirements: 18 credits
Required Courses: 9 credits
Advisor Approve Electives: 9 credits
Choose 9 credits of electives from Behavioral Science Track or Natural Science Track. Six credits must be at the 3000 or 4000 level. Electives may be chosen from both tracks in consultation with an advisor.
*Note:
Courses with * may have prerequisite courses not included in the program of study.
Minor Requirement
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.
