General Program Information
ETSU Academic Proficiency Requirements:
Writing: Students must complete a minimum of four writing-intensive courses. At least two of these courses must be in the major field of study. At least two of the four courses must be at the 3000-4000 level.
Oral Communication: Students must complete a minimum of two oral communication-intensive courses. At least one of these courses must be in the major field of study.
Using Information Technology: Students must complete at least one using information technology-intensive course in the major field of study.
Transfer students may be subject to reduced number of intensives.

The IS concentration supplements the CSCI core curriculum with courses in e-Business, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Enterprise System implementation and programming. Students select an emphasis in accounting or management and explore the application of information systems in business process definition and execution. This concentration is designed for students who wish to apply their knowledge in e-Business development, Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise System implementation, or within their emphasis area, and for those who plan graduate work in information science or business administration. TBR General Education Requirements: 41 Credit Hours
Computer Science Core Requirements - 33 credit hours
Information Systems Concentration: 25-26 Credit Hours
Major Electives - 9 credit hours

Approved CSCI or emphasis elective (3 credits) Emphasis Areas: 12 Credit Hours
Student should select either Accountancy or Management Emphasis. Note:
