The Education Minor is required for students seeking licensure with secondary and K-12 teaching fields listed below. Completion of the minor and CUAI 4580 - Directed Student Teaching (12 hours) completes the professional education requirements for licensure. Students must come to Warf-Pickel Hall, room 321, during their first semester to start a file. Education Minor Requirements: 21-27 Credit Hours
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 semester credit hours of which at least 9 hours must be at the 3000-level or above.
Required courses for all students: 17 Credit Hours
Additional Required Courses: 3-10 Credit Hours
Students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, French, German, Spanish, English, History, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Earth Science, Speech, and Theatre: 7 Credit Hours
Students majoring in Psychology and Sociology: 4 Credit Hours
Students majoring in Art: 3 Credit Hours
