The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at ETSU is a collaborative department focused on applied and theoretical social sciences. Though discreet disciplines, both focus on the who, what, where, why, and how of what makes us human, what makes us…well, us. Far from an exclusively academic or self-indulgent pursuit, modern research such as Project Oxygen—a study conducted by multi-billion dollar corporation, Google—shows the incomparable leadership value of the “soft skills” these social sciences instill.
