A minor in anthropology requires the completion of 18 credits. Students must earn at least a grade of C in each required course in the minor and achieve an overall grade point average of 2.0 in courses counted for the minor.

Note: Students who major or minor in anthropology and sociology cannot apply credit from one field to the other. All cross-listed sociology and anthropology courses (identified as “SOAA”) can be counted toward either field, but cannot be counted toward both.

Anthropology Minor Course Requirements: 18 credits


At least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.

Minor Requirement


A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.
