The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is a 16-credit hour program that provides training in the foundations of public health, including health management and policy, social and behavioral sciences, epidemiology, and statistical analysis. The program facilitates professional skill development of working professionals while meeting the public health training needs of students in graduate or professional degree programs. The certificate is available on campus and fully online.

Admission Requirements

  1. A complete application form;
  2. An essay (<300 words) articulating the students goals and why the certificate will be useful in achieving those goals;
  3. Transcripts from all colleges attended;
  4. Three (3) letters of recommendation from professional references, and

Domestic applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at the undergraduate level. International applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) at the undergraduate level. If a student is seeking simultaneous admission to the certificate program and another graduate degree program at ETSU, the student must submit two (2) applications.
