Admission Requirements

In addition to the admission requirements of the School of Graduate Studies, the following materials are required for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Film Production:

• Submit an application to the School of Graduate Studies by July 1, along with an essay of 500 words describing the applicant’s reason for pursuing the certificate program, including background experience in film, video, or television production. The essay should include information on what kinds of film and media the applicant is interested in during study at ETSU and after completion of the certificate.

Film Production, Graduate Certificate Requirements: 15 credits

Required Courses: 15 credits

• MCOM 5080 - Media Law & Ethics (3 credits)
• RTVF 5100 - Documentary Research and Production (3 credits)
• RTVF 5200 - Directing Film (3 credits)
• RTVF 5300 - Narrative Film (3 credits)
• Advisor Approved Elective (3 credits)
