The graduate certificate in Instructional Design provides advanced coursework directed at evidenced-based practices for developing and implementing effective instructional content. Coursework in this certificate is not directed solely toward teachers but is applicable to education, health care, and corporate sectors.
Admissions Requirements
In addition to the requirements of the School of Graduate Studies:
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75* on a 4.0 scale. *3.0 GPA for international applicants as per school of graduate studies requirement.
- Submission of a 2-page essay outlining goals beyond achieving the certificate in Instructional Design.
Course Requirements
The Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design will be awarded only to students who have been officially admitted to the program and successfully completed the 18-credits of the required coursework.
The time limit for use of credit towards the certificate is six (6) years from the date of enrollment in the earliest course applied toward the certificate. In order to receive the certificate, a student must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on the required coursework.
